PADua FOR SCHOOLS

Padua, nestled at the foot of the Euganean Hills Natural Park, with its elegant city center, rich in splendid testimonies of medieval art, Renaissance and modern architecture, offers visitors a unique atmosphere, which typically generates from the mixture of a modern lifestyle with its metropolitan rhythms and millenary traditions.

Padua is, above all, the City of Frescoes. It is home to eight UNESCO World Heritage monumental sites, hosting precious 14th-century frescoes that have made it unique in the eyes of the entire world, earning it the nickname "Urbs Picta".

Padua is an ancient City of Water traversed by canals that start from the historic center and skirt the Renaissance walls, enveloping the city. Along these waterways, pleasant excursions are now offered through the inner canals and to the frescoed Venetian Villas of the Brenta Riviera rich in history, art and culture.

Padua, City of Science for its University Botanical Garden declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, for being home to one of the oldest universities in the world and a place that has fostered great personalities who have shaped European history. It is at the forefront in the field of medicine and was the residence and teaching site of Galileo Galilei. Rich in scientific museums, it offers educational itineraries of great interest.

Today, Padua is projected into a present of innovations, modern technologies, and sustainability, creating a bridge from the past to the future for new generations, with schools representing this future.

Educational tourism is a great resource for achieving those formative, cognitive, and relational objectives outside institutional settings, leading students to personal enrichment.
